| Elemental Adepts are people born with the capabilities of harnessing six main magics: Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Light, and Darkness. Their magic will only be discovered when a powerful emotion engulfs them and/or the power inside them grows so strongly that sooner or later, they will surface. Some adepts might not ever know they wield magic. Adepts (mostly nobles) are invited to go to the Elemental Arts School where they will be given their four core subjects (maths, science, language, and history) as well as their designated elemental power.
Earth: This adept would most likely the most pacific of the three, consuming his/her time to nature. Most Earth Adepts become rangers. (Yeah, think Aragorn from the Lord of the Rings. Experts of the forest) and will run around protecting nature. They also possess the ability to understand, enter the mind of, and tame animals. They also help plants heal, grow faster, and understand what the plant feels. As well as taming animals, Earth Adepts can perform mind control over weaker minds. Earth Adepts have acute hearing. Air: Air Adepts would possess the power of flight as well as the ability to become invisible and walk through walls. Although not being able to control storms, they can bring a light breeze once in a while. Air adepts have acute hearing. They can also communicate to other Air Adepts on the wind. Fire: Of course Fire Adepts can shoot fire from their fingertips! They can also charm weapons to have the same wrath as a forest fire. Fire Adepts also have the power to transform...shapeshift. Unlike Earth Adepts, Fire Adepts are known to have a fiery (pardon the pun) temperament. Water: Like their fiery counterparts, Water Adepts can also shapeshift. And also like Fire Adepts, they can shoot ICE out of their finger tips! Water Adepts can also slow time for several minutes. They can confuse enemies by making their vision blurry and move slowly, as if in water. Water Adepts also adapt Sonar, which means they can sense unseen things lurking around them...and in the water. Yes, they can breathe underwater.
COMBINING ADEPTS! Earth and Fire Adepts: Together, their power would be potent enough to form a sort of volcanic eruption to any foe. Water and Air Adepts: Their combined power shall make a Adept-controlled hurricane. Earth and Water A rapid and deadly mudslide. Not as affective as other combinations.
THE RAREST OF THEM ALL Healers (Light Adepts, Lumeni): Healers (this is the comercial name for them. If you are in need of a Lumeni, you say Healer. Lumeni is plural Lumen is singular) are there to take other's pain as well as close major and minor wounds. These adepts are quite rare. They are not immortal and cannot heal themselves. They feel sources of energy and life in a near radius. They can also sense other healers as well as Necruxi (Dark Adepts.) Their magic appears as a golden glow, and if angered, Healers can also take life as well as grant it. Don't mess with the Lumeni on a bad day. Healing is much pain for Light Adepts because their magic takes on the person's pain and doubles it to actually cure it. If when healing a person he suddenly dies, the Healer has a certain amount of time (depending on the expanse of the Light Adept's power) to go into that person and retrieve him.
Necruxi (Dark Adepts): Necruxi (This is the plural form. The singular is Necrux) are the opposite of Healers. They feast on life. Like their Healer counterparts, they also sense others like them as well as Lumeni. They cannot kill you just because. They actually make you age first. Turn to dust. At times, they actually can suck out your soul. Depending on what mood they are in. |
